The zipPer is smoOther than the blue ones you can buy. It depends on what you are using these for. If you are dealing with any kind of major pressure the adhesive on these is like a 2 out of 5. I recommend for those with more pressure to add duct tape or even better gorilla tape. It is cloth so it sticks well to a lining of tape and it makes the Zipper is very strong. I hope it lasts longer than the cheap blue ones I got last time

Lasted longer than I thought with heavy traffic, and really stopped the dust and fumes. We have one at the top of the stairs, one at the bottom, and sheets/plastic over the other entry doors off the downstairs hall. We have comparatively little dust seeping into the main house in spite of demolition, foam insulation spraying, and soon, sheet rocking/plastering.
After 4 weeks, though, this will be our third zipper replacement. But I'd say it would have to be a really heavy duty zipper to stand up to 4-5 guys going in and out all day. The addition of dust barriers has been a real life saver, and worth the price.
(I wonder why they don't make one that uses magnets, like on temporary screen doors, so the contractors and just push through and have it close behind them. It's a pain to unzip if you're carrying something. Maybe the plastic used by most contractors is too rigid to make that work.)
