Wonderful security for pistols, ammo and valuables at residence, on the road, or in the office, this secure has solid steel, pry resistant plate steel doors, steel live action locking bolts, and concealed hinges that produce higher security. Its electronic lock can easily be programmed by the user with a "safety crucial" override. It has a time out period immediately after 3 incorrect combination attempts. The secure has pre-drilled holes for mounting to the floor or a shelf and fastening hardware is included. The electronic lock can be programmed to beep when the numbers on the key pad are pressed or programmed so the beeps are turned off.

I won't go on for too long about what a great value this is. Solid construction, easy operation, and quick access.
Here are a couple tips to make it more secure and quicker to access:
1) Drill a couple holes, one near the middle of the top long side and the other near the middle of the bottom long side. That allows you to secure this to a wall stud so it's really secure.
2) Mount it upside down. Why, you ask? Watch the video and see.
Bottom line: perfect to mount somewhere to have a handgun securely stored and immediately available.

As a customer who has a Stack-On wall locker, I was expecting the same type of sheet metal construction. However, this safe is the real deal. It is solid metal constuction with a beefy door. And two 3/4" locking pins. I have not mounted this yet, but be careful if mounting in an upright position. This was made to bolt into a drawer, so pay attention to how the door will open. Anyway, I had it out of the box and into operation in under two minutes. I was hesitant to get a battery operated safe, but with the back-up key feature, my mind was put at ease. The instructions could use pictures as I had a bit of trouble figuring out how to access the hidden keyhole. In short this is a great, sturdy safe that is perfect for keeping my CCW out of the reach of the kids while still being easily accesible to mommy and daddy. I liked it so much and thought it was a great price, I picked one up for my dad who recently purchased his first gun and worries because he has 13 grandkids running around the house at any given time.
